Okra & Garlic Pickle

So, this Okra and Garlic Pickle will have around 50% of thinking “What the heck is Okra?” Well don’t worry, it’s nothing crazy. It has several different names you may recognise: Gumbo, Bhindi or Lady’s Fingers when it all boils down it’s a pod vegetable.

This 190g jar has everything it takes to inject a bit of culture into any meal. An arrangement of spices take your taste buds on a brief tour of India and Africa with every spoonful. Being the versatile little devil it is, Daddy Cool’s Okra & Garlic Pickle goes well as any side dish, or stirred straight into the cooking pot.

SUGGESTED USES: Whether it’s a curry that needs a little something special, a cheese sandwich, or with nann and chapatis, we’ve even mixed it into creamy pasta dish, it does it all, what’s also worth noting is this stuff is worth buying for aroma alone! So much so, you’ll get sick of hearing “ooh that smells nice, what’s cooking?” Grab one and see for yourself!

Ingredients: Okra (41%), Garlic (22%), Mustardo Oil (MUSTARD Oil, Rapeseed Oil), Spirit Vinegar, Jaggery Goor (unrefined sugar), Lemon Juice, Spices, MUSTARD Seeds, Fenugreek Seeds, Asafoetida (ground rice, gum arabic, turmeric), Mango Powder, Habanero Chilli.

    I got this pickle in my subscription box this month. This is not something I would have picked off the website but I’m glad I have had the chance to try it!!! Absolutely delicious and the very reason why a sub box is the way forward as I wouldn’t have tried it otherwise!
