If you’ve made it this far, you’re either a dedicated reader of the Daddy Cool blog, or you really like the idea of visiting a Pub in the Park. I mean it sounds great doesn’t it?! A hot summer’s day with a cold pint in one hand and some good old-fashioned pub grub in the other. It seems hard to imagine anything better at this point but trust me, it gets a whole load better. 2018 is going to be a year of big things! It’s going to be a year of big flavors! It’s going to be the year Daddy Cool rubs shoulders with Sporty Spice!
I’m picturing a few confused faces right now so allow me to clear things up a little. No, we’re not working on some new athletics inspired hot sauce, we are in fact talking about our very own girl of spice, Mel C! This summer Daddy Cool and the gang will be bringing the heat to Pub in The Park, quite possibly the biggest and most exciting event yet.
Pub in The Park is a festival that started out only last year but already has a huge reputation and thousands of happy attendees. All 18,00 tickets sold out within the first 24 hours last year and those lucky people were privileged enough to enjoy fine foods from Michelin starred pubs cooked by the best chefs around. If that’s not enough they had live music, chef demonstrations, shops and stalls to browse and of course, loads of booze!
Last year went perfectly with all that attended demanding more, so this year Pub in The Park is back bigger and better! This year will have all the same great features as last time but with two main changes! The music acts will be out of this world this year. Daddy Cool’s going to be rubbing shoulders with the likes of Will Young, Razorlight, Tom Odell, Toploader, Gabrielle Aplin, Scouting for Girls and loads more! It’ll be worth buying a ticket just to catch Will Young with a bit of XXX Badboy in his mouth, only joking Will ?. Of course, the second and most important difference is that we’ll be there!
The festival will be held in four different locations over the summer, with Daddy Cool setting up shop in Higginson Park, Marlow from the 17th – 20th of May and again in Knutsford from the 7th – 9th of September.
See ya’ll there soon.
